INTIMACY WITH GOD - Creating Space for God, Communing with Him

The most important invitation God has ever made to us, and continues to do so, is His gracious invitation to come into a lifelong relationship of intimacy with Him. Our response to this invitation to walk in intimacy with Him requires us to learn the habits of creating space for Him. These habits are known traditionally as the spiritual disciplines.
This three-session course is designed to allow participants to learn as well as to practise the various spiritual disciplines taught. Ample time will be given during each session for personal reflection and the practice of contemplation in a retreat-like setting.
We hope that each participant will come away from this course desiring for more of God, motivated to continually create space for Him through the various spiritual disciplines learnt, and to enjoy communing with Him each day of their spiritual journey.
LENT DEVOTIONAL GUIDE
Living the Same Faith in the New Normal is this year’s Lenten daily devotional guide published by The Bible Society of Singapore. Use it from Ash Wednesday (22 February 2023) to Easter Sunday (9 April 2023) for your daily time with God. The hard copies are available at $4.00 each. The daily Lent devotion will be pushed to you on the church or you may also download the e-version below.
PASSION WEEK 24/7 PRAYER RELAY (2-9 April 2023)
Our faith goal is to form a prayer chain that will have at least one person attending to God in prayer for one hour over 168 hours in the Passion Week. The purpose is for participants to experience spiritual companionship from our church community even if he or she is praying alone. We take over from the person praying before us and we hand over to the one praying after us, via text messages. Geographical location is not a limitation. Different time zones can be used advantageously. A prayer guide and prayer items will be made available.
You can sign up for more than one time slot. More than one person can be praying at the same time. Join us and be one of our prayer companions!
RETREAT CENTRE @ JUBILEE
INTIMACY WITH GOD - Creating Space for God, Communing with Him
To facilitate an extended time of reflection this Lent season, our church is opening up the studio at 1A Jubilee Road to be booked for personal retreats, during which we set aside time and space to focus on our relationship with God and how this relationship impacts our overall well-being. The goal of such retreats is to become a lover of God, to be loved by him and to be open to the Spirit’s leading.
