The pre-mission trip training is a prerequisite because mission is not driven by enthusiasm alone, but by understanding, wisdom, and obedience. Without grounding in God’s heart and purposes, we risk going with our own assumptions, cultural blind spots, or incomplete theology. The training aligns our hearts with God’s mission, equips us with biblical foundations, historical perspective, strategic thinking, and cultural sensitivity, and helps ensure that we serve responsibly, respectfully, and effectively. It prepares us not just to do missions, but to participate faithfully in what God is already doing.
