In Prey Veng, Cambodia...

Mission:

To see these young ones come to know the Lord, and become faithful disciples of Christ - who eventually will be able to multiply disciples and build up the local Church.

TW and LS are missionaries sent in 2013 by The Bible Church, Singapore, to serve among the Cambodian children and youths. Since then, God had blessed the works of their hands.

Photo Stories: from 2015 to present

"Be fruitful & multiply." God says to Adam and Eve.

In TW and LS's case, these are evidence of their fruitfulness in the Lord. They labour faithfully and live simple lives in Cambodia, to make known Christ's love to the Cambodian children. Some of them are orphans, who need the love, care and discipline of parents. Some are from families where one or both parents are inadequate to care and be role models to them.

TW and LS's ministry had provided a haven for them to grow and to flourish, and to pursue dreams which they never thought possible.

Ministry Highlights: Running

Running

Philippians 3:13-14

"Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

RUNNING is a key highlight of TW and LS's ministry. They loved running and encouraged the youths team to develop this worthy discipline.

As the team trained for their upcoming run, it had become more than just taking part in a race. They have learned perseverance, discipline and possibilities.

"Twice-a-week, the youths will wake up at 4:00am for the training. They did not think that they could complete a 10km run, but they did." - there were sparkles in his eyes as TW shared.

Church Involvement

Church Involvement in Prey Veng

"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." 1 Cor 3.6

In every Missions project, while the local church sends out missionaries to the field, they will also continuously support and resource the people they sent. Since 2015, many mission teams from the Ladies ministry, Youths ministry, Chinese ministry, and small groups have visited and supported the work of TW and LS in Cambodia.

LADIES MINISTRY

"We supported  TW & LS by conducting cooking and baking classes for the youths in the centre. We helped to enable the youths to set up a bakery in the community and kept it sustainable."

How can I be involved?

How I can be involved?

Missionaries are often forgotten. As a church, we can GO with them by praying and caring for them and providing for their needs. Through praying, we join them in their ministry as we come before God's throne to stand in the gap for their ministry. In giving, we support their ministry needs and extend their reach into the community. In going, we bring the love of God in tangible ways to the people they serve. We can be their partners even when we are not with them in the field.

So, if you would like to be their partners in mission and receive TWLS prayer updates, please email LS at annalisatw@hotmail.com.  She will be happy to connect with you.

Care

'Out of sign, out of mind'- this is so real for missionaries sent by the church. Let's learn to care even we are apart.
