Week 10 (4 Mar) Day 2

Matthew 6.12

12 And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Personal Reflections We ask God to forgive us. When we truly appreciate the extent of our offences against God and our deserved punishment, we will not hesitate to ask for forgiveness. Likewise, it is also a reminder to us that we are called to also forgive those who offended us. When we realise how much we need forgiveness from God, we will not be tardy in forgiving others. Indeed, “to ask to be forgiven while refusing to forgive is hypocritical.”[4]

For what would you need to be forgiven by God? Seek God’s forgiveness for unconfessed sins that hinder our walk with God. At the same time, whom do you need to forgive today? Ask for God’s unconditional love to enable you to forgive others who have sinned against you.
