Matthew 5.8
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Personal Reflections This verse alludes to Ps 24.3-4, which points out that only those with clean hands and pure hearts will see the Lord. These are the ones who do not bow down to any idol but worship only the Lord our God. Idols, refer not just to those made of stones or wood, but anything that displaced God as the centre of our affection and allegiance.
Consider your own life today. Can you honestly say to God that you have a pure heart? Are there areas that need to be surrendered to Him so that He can truly be the Lord of your life?
