PAUSE
Sovereign Lord, You reign over all things. I lay aside my need for control, and I acknowledge that Your ways are higher than mine.
Pause and Pray
REFLECT
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)
“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;
wisdom and power are his.
He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning.
He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with him.” (Daniel 2:20-22)
Why is God alone worthy to be king over all?
What does praying for God’s kingdom to come mean for you?
What might it look like for God’s will to be done in my daily life?
Pause and Pray
ASK
King over all, there is no One like You.
You determine everyone’s times and seasons.
All power, wisdom and light comes from You.
Let Your kingdom come— in my heart, my big and small decisions, my relationships, and in the broken places of our world. Teach Your church to reflect heaven’s values on earth.
Pause and Pray
YIELD
My God and King, I yield my plans, ambitions, and preferences to You. Help me to let go of all other kingdoms I am building,
And to build Your Kingdom with You.
Where my will competes with Yours, reshape my desires until obedience to You becomes my joy.
Pause and Pray
Now may the God of peace… equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Hebrews 13:20-21)
