5 Days of Prayer: Day 3

PAUSE 

Faithful Provider, I pause to remember that every good gift comes from You. Free me from worry and teach me to trust You today.  

Pause and Pray 

REFLECT  

Give us today our daily bread. (Matthew 6:11)  

The Lord upholds all who fall 

    and lifts up all who are bowed down. 

The eyes of all look to you, 

    and you give them their food at the proper time. 

You open your hand 

    and satisfy the desires of every living thing. (Psalm 145:14-16) 

• How has God provided for your needs, big and small?  

• What am I anxious about? What does this reveal about where I place my trust? 

• What provisions are you looking toward God for this year? 

Pause and Pray 

ASK  

Jehovah Jireh, You are the One who satisfies the needs of every living thing. 

We ask You to provide what we need today – for ourselves and for those who lack daily bread. 

Strengthen the weary, supply the needy, and make us generous channels of Your provision.  

Teach us not to be anxious but to trust that every detail of our lives is in Your hands.  

Pause and Pray 

YIELD  

God, You are my gracious Provider. And in You, I have everything I need. 

I surrender my desire for self-sufficiency, 

to dictate my wants and needs, my discontentment with what I already have.    Teach me to depend on You one day at a time, receiving daily bread, strength and grace with gratitude  

and sharing with compassion to others you have placed around me.

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.  (Philippians 4:19)
